Gore-Tex® Facial Implants
Gore-Tex (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) is a soft pliable implant that is used to fill in larger facial creases. The implant can be used in the nasolabial fold (smile lines), Marionette lines, (from lip corners vertically to chin), vermillion border (upper and lower ridge of lips) and the glabella (between the eyebrows). The procedure is done by double board certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Kevin Robertson under local anesthesia using small incisions and usually taking less than an hour.   A few days of recovery and slight bruising can be expected. The implants are permanent and can be removed at any time. A consultation is necessary to discuss goals and for procedure appointment.
