What is the difference between a chemical peel and a microdermabrasion?
They both offer great exfoliation just in different ways.   A peel is a "chemical exfoliation" and a microdermabrasion is a "manual exfoliation". Some types of skin or skin conditions respond better to one or the other, a combination of both is usually used for optimal results.

Will I be able to go to work after a peel or Microderm?
Definitely! Although there are more aggressive peels we can do that cause slight peeling for a few days, your skin will look and feel better instantly, so you will want to show it off.

Is there pain involved in a peel or Microderm?
No. There are aggressive peels that can be done for certain conditions that do have a slightly stronger tingle, but a peel or Microderm are   no pain treatments with great results.

With the laser hair reduction, what does "virtually pain-free" mean?
Most lasers use more energy to get the beam down to the target "hair follicle" so there is more heat and more pain. Most places will describe the feeling as "being snapped with hot rubber bands". The Aesthera laser has a slight vacuum that brings the target closer to the light source, so it uses less energy which means less heat and less pain. You will not need a pre treatment topical anesthetic as you do with other lasers. Because the treatments are so much more comfortable, treatments are 4-7 times faster than with other lasers.

Will I be able to go out or back to work after my laser treatment?
Yes! Most people do not experience any redness or soreness after a treatment. If there is any redness, it usually subsides after a few minutes. If you do experience any redness after a facial laser treatment, we would be happy to give you a touch up with our Glo-Minerals makeup that will hide the redness and soothe the area.

If the laser can not treat white, blonde or grey hair, is there anything I can do for the fine facial hair I have?
YES!! There is a great new exciting prescription product called Vaniqa. It works on the fine facial hair that can be a bother to most women. The product works by stopping the growth of the hair. The product use must be continued to continue results. www.vaniqa.com

Will there be any bruising after a Botox or Restylane injection?
Botox usually does not cause any bruising afterwards. Some people may get very tiny pin size bruising that is easily covered up with cosmetics. There may be a bit more bruising after Restylane than Botox, but still nothing to be worried about. Not taking any aspirin or aspirin products a week before and a few days after the injection will help keep the bruising down. A cool compress after the injection will also help.
