Venus Versa™ is a medical aesthetic device that can target a wide range of aesthetic concerns using an innovative combination of different clinical technologies. We utilize this system for laser hair removal, acne treatments and photorejuvenation/photofacials.

Laser Hair Removal

The Venus Versa™ system harnesses the power of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to destroy hair follicles by targeting melanin chromophores in the targeted hair shaft. The system’s XL applicators offer a larger spot size for faster, more effective treatments of larger body areas, such as the legs and back, while applicators with a smaller spot size offer flexibility in treating smaller areas, such as on the face or along the bikini line.

Unwelcome hair growth can be embarrassing for everyone. And although there are plenty of hair removal options, they aren't always worth it. Venus Versa™ is transforming hair removal by using advanced technology to permanently reduce unwanted hair on the face and body. You can finally enjoy smooth, hair-free skin with results that last longer than traditional methods.

Acne Reduction

Venus Versa™ is equipped with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology that delivers simultaneous pulses of blue and red light for the treatment of acne vulgaris. Red light pulses treat existing acne-related inflammation and promote healing by stimulating the skin’s natural cell renewal cycle, while blue light pulses target and eliminate acne-causing Propionibacterium Acnes (P. Acnes) bacteria, treating current acne breakouts and preventing future breakouts all in one easy treatment solution. It is also equipped with SmartPulse™ and a real-time cooling system for greater patient comfort and safety.

If you're still struggling with acne breakouts, you're not alone. Acne is among the most common skin conditions in the world, affecting up to 50 million people each year in the United States alone. Research shows that up to 50% of adults aged 20 to 40 suffer from low-grade acne and oily skin. We can effectively target both the cause and visible symptoms of acne-related skin conditions. Venus Versa™ dual-light acne treatments work to heal existing acne-related inflammation, while also destroying acne-causing bacteria to minimize future breakouts.

Photorejuvenation/Photofacial Treatments

Venus Versa™ photofacial treatments work to reduce visible signs of premature aging, such as sun damage, brown spots, visible veins, and discoloration. The treatment is powered by Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with SmartPulse™ technology that delivers precise light through several layers of skin. This generates heat when absorbed by the targeted tissue, which corrects imperfections in the skin without damaging any of the surrounding tissue. A real-time cooling system works to keep your skin protected throughout treatment.

Photofacial treatments effectively target pigment under the skin's surface to reduce the appearance of discoloration. Photorejuvenation treatments target oxyhemoglobin chromophores for vascular lesions and melanin chromophores for pigmented lesions. The treatment also works on vascular marks (distended blood vessels often caused by UV exposure), such as spider veins and port wine stains. All it takes is a few quick treatments and you'll have clearer, more even skin.

Further, equipped with SmartPulse™ technology, these applicators help to improve the precision and consistency of energy delivered to targeted pigmentation, and pulse optimization improves the wavelength profile throughout each treatment session. While some contraindications exist, a built-in real-time cooling system boosts patient safety and comfort, monitoring the IPL light guide temperature a 1,000 times per second for optimized clinic operations. This enables the delivery of fast and safe treatments with no additional cooling time required.

Venus Versa uses light-based technology to get rid of unwanted hair on the face and body. It works by destroying the hair follicle under the Skin surface, which stops it from growing. The result is smoother, hair-free skin.

Am I a good candidate for this treatment? Will this treatment work for me?

The best candidate is someone who has unwanted hair on the face or body, and who wants to reduce hair growth in a particular area.

I have darker skin- can I still get this treatment done?

Venus Versa hair removal treatments work best for light to medium skin tones. The treatment may work on darker skin, but there is a higher risk of discoloration because darker skin has more pigment in it. It's best to consult with the technician to see if the treatment is right for you. They will perform a tough spot and wait between 15 minutes to 48 Hours, depending on your skin tone, to assess your reaction to the light.

Can I do it during my lunch break?

You may be able to, depending on what part of the body you're getting treated. If it's a smaller area, it may only take as little as 5-15 minutes. A larger area, like two full legs, may take up to 30 minutes.

How many sessions will I need to see results?

Most patients receive 6-10 treatments per area. The exact number will depend on each individual person in the area being treated.

How often/far apart should the treatments be?

Treatments are done 4-6 weeks apart for the face and 4-8 weeks apart for the body.

What does the treatment feel like?

It feels like a really light snap with an elastic band  against your skin, or like if someone lightly flicked you, as the applicator moves around the treatment area. The applicator has a cooling tip to maximize comfort.

How long will the results last and are they permanent?

It really depends on how your hair grows. Some people may see permanent hair removal, while others who see sporadic hair growth in the area may need touch-up treatments to maintain the results.

Is there any downtime?

There is no down time. You can return to your daily schedule immediately after your treatment.

Do I need to do anything after my treatment?

Avoid tanning for at least 4weeks before and 2weeks after your treatment, and wear sunscreen.

If I got a treatment on my face, can I put makeup on right after?

Yes, you can apply makeup immediately after your treatments, but make sure you put on sunscreen first.
